4 plane flights, 2 rental cars, and 7,200 miles...

That's the amount of traveling I've done in the last 7 days! Last Monday I left for the Educator's Tour of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The 3 days there were great, and I'll report back later with my experiences there. For now, I will leave a photo of the Riverwalk...
On Wednesday night I rented a car and drove to Austin to visit Heather and her family. Westin wasn't feeling too well, so I was on "Addi duty" all night. We had fun together "planting" grass in her sandbox and looking at bugs in the backyard. After helping her take a bath and reading her a bedtime story, Heather and I finally got a short period of time to catch up. A few hours later I departed for my return to San Antonio.
I returned to LA on Thursday afternoon, taught the school day on Friday, and then hopped on a flight bound for O'Hare. The first part of the weekend was spent with my parents, including an overnight & a family breakfast on Saturday. Matt and Stephan then drove out to Schaumburg to pick me up so that we could head out to Indianapolis. We met up with Josh & Jen in Broad Ripple, and Andrea also joined us for dinner. After some drinks around the area, the three of us drove over to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and set up our campsite. It was around 2am by that time, so setting up a tent in the dark proved to be interesting. We took a long walk around the grounds to see the spectacle that is the camping lot around IMS, and then finally bunkered down for the night.
We rose bright and early on Sunday morning, and headed straight for the speedway. The race was great, but crazy hot! It was a relief when it was over, for then we could finally get out of the sun! After battling traffic for a few HOURS, we ended up at Paul & Lisa's house for a BBQ and to crash for the night. We entertained ourselves by watching their 1.5 year old daughter, Caroline, who was a riot!
On Monday we were blessed with a visit from JC and Dan and our 5-month-old neice, Norah! It was such a pleasure to finally meet her; she is adorable and definitely takes after her Aunt Courtney & Uncle Matt ;-)
